Mid-Week NFL Observations

Each week I will give my mid-week thoughts and observations on happenings around the NFL.

1. Trade Deadline

I have to admit, I was slightly suprised by the lack of movement before the deadline.  I definitely didn't expect a fire sale by anyone, but figured the Raiders, Chiefs, and Rams would make some movement.  To all of the disgrunteled players out there:  Better luck in FA.

2. Jeff Reed

I still need to wait and see what comes from all of this, but to embarass your franchise twice in less than a year....NOT good news.

3. Jeff Fisher

Alright Titans fans...Let it go!  I'm not a huge Fisher supporter, I think his time may be up, but c'mon!  The guy introduced one helluva great coach at a charity event wearing that coach's last team jersey.  And when your 0-6, you gotta laugh about something.

4. Patriot's roster moves

The NFL needs to do something about teams blatantly violating the intensions of a 53-Man roster.  I'm picking on the patriots here, but every team does it.  In the Patriots case they cut two players just so they could sign them to new contracts and avoid the free agency wait next year.  That was not the intent when creating a rule that limits the number of players on a team's roster.
